Shipboard Theatre was a project spanning my final year of art school, a multimedia storytelling venture about a group of actors performing on a river cruise. It culminated in my degree show in May 2026, and the full collection of paintings are gathered here.

In my third year of art school, I fell in love with the Lindow Man bog body. He taught me how to love painting, and how to be imaginative again. This resulted in a collection of gouache on paper paintings, featuring him and I in our shared life. Somewhere in here are thoughts about sincerity, ugliness, disgust, and the romanticisation of the past.

A collection of gouache working, bridging my Lindow Man project to Shipboard Theatre. At this point I’d been told by tutors and loved ones to stop painting Lindow Man out of apparent concern for my mental wellbeing, so I started inventing my own dead bodies to paint instead. Many of these characters would become protagonists in Shipboard Theatre, and beyond.

The Liber Somniorum was a book chronicling my dreams that I made in my third year of art school for a project inspired by my university’s rare books collection. In particular, for the style of these ink drawings and the concept of a chronicle book, I referenced a copy of the Nuremburg Chronicle from 1493. Below are a selection of pages, detailing dreams that I recorded and illustrated.
